In January 2019, we opened our second walk-in centre, Step-Up @ Taman Jurong, bringing our programmes and services to communities living in the west. It was officially launched on 14 July 2019 by Mr Amrin Amin, Senior Parliamentary Secretary for Home Affairs and Health.
Like our first Step-Up Centre at Sengkang, Step-Up @ Taman Jurong aims to help the recovery of clients from drug addiction by strengthening their social support networks.
All walk-in clients go through an intake assessment by our counsellors and are offered counselling.
In 2019, we attended to a total of 437 new walk-in cases and provided 1607 counselling hours from both centres.
